I’ve always valued an active life, from playing tennis in high school to making fitness part of my routine for decades. That did not mean I was immune to setbacks. A shoulder injury in my thirties and knee pain in my fifties changed what I could do, and made some of the exercise I enjoyed increasingly difficult.
My son, an advanced ATG-certified coach, introduced me to progressive exercises that helped me build strength and mobility around my shoulders and knees. The experience changed how I thought about training. I became ATG certified so I could help other women approach strength with the same combination of ambition, intelligence and respect for their own bodies.
Zang Fitness grew from that belief. You should not have to choose between being challenged and being listened to. You should not have to fit yourself into someone else’s workout. And getting older should not mean accepting less from your body or from your life.
