The Zang Fitness Approach

Build strength. Improve mobility. Keep moving forward.

Zang Fitness combines progressive strength training, mobility work and personal coaching to help women become more capable in the gym and in everyday life.

PRINCIPLE 1

Start with the Individual

Your age does not define your ability, and neither does someone else’s workout. We can adjust exercises, resistance, repetitions, and range of motion to create an appropriate challenge for you.

PRINCIPLE 2

Strength should serve your life

The objective is not simply to complete exercises. It is to build the strength, balance, mobility, and control that support the activities you value, from travel and recreation to stairs, carrying, getting up, and moving with greater ease.

PRINCIPLE 3

Progress without pushing through pain

Training should be challenging, not punishing. Charlotte watches how you move, adjusts the exercise when needed, and helps you progress without treating pain as proof that a workout is working.

What does ATG mean at Zang Fitness?

ATG stands for Athletic Truth Group, which was founded by Ben Patrick. Its core principle is to achieve structural balance by training through a full range of motion, with emphasis on movements and areas often neglected in traditional fitness programs. Training progresses from the ground up, starting with exercises like walking backward while pulling a sled, which is considered fundamentally safe because the load doesn't bear down on the body, allowing for intense cardio and strength work with minimal joint impact.

It's an innovative training program that offers workouts that prioritize joint health, longevity, and overall fitness through a unique blend of exercises and progressions.

This strength and mobility approach is known for progressive exercises that build capacity through carefully scaled movement.

Charlotte uses ATG principles as part of her coaching toolkit, not as a rigid, one-size-fits-all system. The value of working with Zang Fitness is personal observation, adaptation, accountability, and a supportive environment that an exercise library alone cannot provide.

Coaching to complement—not replace—healthcare

Zang Fitness provides fitness coaching and does not diagnose injuries or replace medical care or physical therapy. If you are managing an injury, recovering from treatment or have concerns about exercise, Charlotte may ask you to consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning or progressing your program.
